While I'm making OT topics about things I don't understand, how would a hike in minimum wage to $15/hour actually help those workers?

When you arbitrarily create a price bottom increase (roughly double) like that, the rest of the market (all wages greater than the minimum) will be increased proportionately as well, and thus, due to the ensuing inflation, the minimum wage workers are no better off than they are now.

It's sorta like money from the SEC Network. You know Ross Bjork is thinking "We're rich, bitch! Honk honk!" for about 2 seconds and then realizes that puts us no closer to catching Bama, Auburn, LSU, etc since they got the same damn check.

Anyway, minimum wage jobs should be mostly for teenagers, so the better solution would be to create training programs to provide those with families to take care of some type of career advancement opportunities to better themselves, since they aren't earning a "livable wage." Those without aptitude or drive would be stuck in those minimum wage jobs, but you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink...

Maybe I'm just an idiot...
