Why do libs/dems insist on calling this nation a "democracy"? A true democracy means everything is voted on by the people and as low as 50% +1 get what they want and the other people get screwed.
We are not that. Never have been. We are a representative republic. Actually, we are a constitutional representative republic.
The majority does not rule in America. We have (supposedly) guaranteed Constitutional rights and it takes a huge super majority of states to change any of that. (Or an idiotic SCOTUS, but that's another story for a different day).
America votes in fair and open democratically held elections (supposedly... except for 2020) but this nation, and it's government, is not a democracy.
