I’ve noticed a trend where every single time we get embarrassed nationally it’s due to out of state students. The Brandon Theesfeld murder, the KA Emmett till thing, the Pike bleach incident, and now the monkey dance kid were all perpetrated by kids who aren’t from Mississippi. I made plenty of friends from out of state at ole miss that I will talk to for the rest of my life but admission standards have to be raised for them. We’re letting in the worst from every state and it seems like they now do something that embarrasses us nationally every 2 or 3 years. I’m not saying students from Mississippi don’t do dumb shit either, but you sure don’t read about it on TMZ when they do. I believe the acceptance rate for them is over 90% and that needs to be lowered a fair amount. We have enough kids applying that want to attend here now due to athletic success where we can definitely afford to turn some of them away. If you don’t agree that’s fine. This is just my opinion on the matter
