Georgia averaged 10 wins a season for 20 years before they won the National Championship. It takes a while to develop a different culture from 50 years of mediocrity. We were on our way until Freeze shit the bed. We took a 5 year break so the clock restarted. Kiffin started from scratch. He had to go portal heavy the last few years because of all the holes in the roster. This set the rebuild back a couple years also. Now he is trying to recruit more HS players because he knows you have to develop from HS to build the culture. Assumptions that he “is looking to get out”, “didn’t think he would be here this long” are just that. People bitching about Golding in year one with Sun Belt talent are delusional. It is going to take at least a decade to change the national narrative on Ole Miss football. We are in year 4 of that. It ain’t gonna happen overnight. It’s not like we have been mid tier for the last 40 years. We’ve been bottom tier and some fans think teams should go from the outhouse to the penthouse in a couple years. That only happens with about $30 million a year for about 5 years in the portal era. Culture takes time. We’re on the right track
