For context: I’m coaching our leagues B team coach pitch all stars. We had a very competitive league, I coached the third place team and we lost to the first place team by 1 run. We are currently playing our city tournament before the regionals start next week.
We are bracketed against our league A team in single elimination. We were up 12-11 mid 4th with 12 minutes left. They score 6 with 1 out and person on first. There’s 3 minutes left on the clock to start a new inning and a 7 run limit per half inning. They are slow playing so we can’t hit again. I call time and intentionally walk the next two batters to walk in a run so my team can hit again before time runs out.
TLDR: am I an ick for intentionally walking two kids in coach pitch to end an inning so my team could hit again? @tsiskey @Neal McCready @Chase Parham
