It's no secret everybody in America gets fired up to play Bama. Fact is, they probably have for the last 50+ years. Remember the "I was there....6-3" bumper stickers? Ever seen one commemorating a team's win over Arkansas or Georgia Tech? When you are good you have a target on you,even the years you may not be up to par. Everybody loves to beat the Yankees or the Cowboys even in down years. Point is why cringe about playing a regional team that will get up to play you? Yes, memphis may have a good team for them or Southern may have a good team for them (one day) or what happens if Tulane goes 12-0 again? If we are where I think we are and stay where I think we are, you play whoever you wish to play ,where you wish to play that rewards your fan-base and builds your program. There can be no thoughts of "what if we don't play well or they really get up for us". Yes, over the years all regional teams have had their moments against us but those days are past, if we stay the course. Does Bama really worry about anyone on their schedule from one year to the next? They just go be Bama. Besides the nutty radicalism we can learn a lot about program building and confidence from the champs we just beat.
