Neal and Chase said today what I have been thinking about College Baseball for awhile now. The quality of baseball across the board is down due to the portal and the lack of program building, as well as teams no longer hoarding talent. I think this is the impetus for a lot of the variance of opinions about the OM team. They are better than a lot of people, but they don't look like a 9th ranked team of the past. There are no absolutely dominate arms and yet they sit at 9th in the country and 6-3 in the SEC. What are your thoughts? I have no idea how to prove this metrically, but if there is, I'd love to know.
