Question for those with teenage drivers

How in the hell do you afford it?

I just called to add my 16 year old daughter to my esurance policy and it jumped over $900 every 6 months. Was paying $147 a month and went to $298. Geico was almost $400 a month! She gets the discount for good grades and neither me nor my wife have accidents or expensive cars. 2005 Chevy Truck, 2011 Chevy Traverse and now a 2003 Altima.
