If you're hoping Ole Miss makes the NCAA tournament field today, you really need to be hoping SMU beats Connecticut. If UConn wins, they're stealing a bid from Ole Miss, Indiana, Old Dominion or Temple. If SMU wins, two of those four teams _ Ole Miss, Indiana, Old Dominion and Temple _ are likely getting into the field. I've had multiple people ask me what I think. I have no idea. How you finish doesn't factor in. Those early losses aren't deadly. Wins over Arkansas and Oregon, both on the road, are strong, as is a neutral-site win over Cincinnati. In the end, if the Rebels get in, they have to consider themselves very fortunate. If they don't, they have no one to blame but themselves.
