The ranking was good enough for the Rebels to be the fourth-highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference, and the second highest in the West.
Auburn fronted the pack at No. 2, followed by Alabama at No. 5 and Georgia at No. 11. Missouri, Arkansas, LSU and Mississippi State were all ranked in the 20s.
