I just saw our schedule. And then I looked at Auburn's schedule. This is a big if, but if we get past Alabama, we will be good. And I am not afraid to say so! Listen, Texas A&M has a lot of talent. But there is no way in hell a team that was not physical by any stretch of the imagination the last 3 years will be able to come into the Vaught and be physical enough to handle a team that just got done playing New Mexico and Memphis. And then there is Florida. We play the Gators in the Swamp. But lets please stop over-hyping them. I saw that spring game. There is no way on Gods-Green-Earth that a team with a barely decent QB and no proven passing game whatsoever will challenge us.
Then there is Auburn. In the two weeks before they play us they will go to Kentucky and to Arkansas. Kentucky is not a great team. We all know that. But they are not bad, and they are somewhat (if not very) physical and they play you hard at home. That very next week Auburn goes to Arkansas, and we know how that can go. In my honest opinion, we will go into a Jordan Hare stadium against a team that is at best 85%. If we are at 100%, and play like it, I don't see how they have the strength to beat us. Arkansas has an OK defense. But if they are not anything they are physical. What is most important is that Jeremy Johnson will play them and then play probably the best (and most physical) defense in the country the next week which is much better at defending the pass.
Sorry peeps. I know you all are cautiously optimistic, but I am not. A new QB with that scenario should never have a chance against us.
