Man, I’m so excited about Austin Simmons. His GA drive was one of the defining moments of the ‘24 season and for the ‘25 season as well. It was like a glimpse of the future. I don’t believe I’ve ever been this excited about an Ole Miss QB. I will be disappointed if we don’t see him take significant snaps in the bowl game.
Some are still carrying this narrative that we will be a less talented roster next year and how we had the most talented team in history this year. I’d have to disagree. What we thought early on didn’t come to fruition. I would argue that we weren’t very talented on offense. We won’t be able to replicate the D line, but we can meet in the middle on both sides of the ball and hopefully have some better coaching. People can say what they want, but I think there’s a chance we can be a better team next year. I’m optimistic about the way this roster is shaping up in the portal and high school.
