Ryder Cup tickets ?

Has anyone ever tried to get them? Is it a similar situation as The Masters practice round tickets in that there are a zillion applicants and odds are low? Looking at the Bethpage Black host site next year and thinking that would be a good trip to make but no idea if it's feasible.
