Ole Miss has picked up a commitment from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College running back Trey Hall. He's a 5-foot-11, 185-pounder from Vicksburg, Miss. Hall had been committed to Western Kentucky.
“I chose Ole Miss because it’s always been my dream school and I figured why not stay in Mississippi and be close to home,” Hall told the Vicksburg Daily News. “There’s no reason for me to leave my home state when my family is here and some great football is played here.”
Hall spent the last two seasons playing at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where he played in 10 games and racked up 883 rushing yards and seven touchdowns while finishing third in the NJCAA in rushing average (7.2 yards per carry). Last season, Hall rushed for 1,098 yards in 10 games as a sophomore along with 13 rushing touchdowns.
“I expected this going into last summer because I made promises to myself and I did what it took to be the best so now I’m here,” Hall said. “I plan to have a huge impact on the program at Ole Miss and I know I’ll do great with my family standing beside me.”
Hall chose Ole Miss over offers from WKU, Alcorn, Arkansas State, Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech, Tulsa, and East Carolina.
