The discussion about Lane Kiffin saying “Hotty Toddy” or “War Eagle” got me thinking… do any of you actually say Hotty Toddy to Ole Miss people? I never say it as a greeting around people I know, at Ole Miss, or even in Mississippi. I only say it at places I wouldn’t expect to see someone like in the airport or in another state with Ole Miss gear. I feel like it’s just weird otherwise. Does everyone else agree?

I also got my post grad at 4&8 and sometimes wear their gear when I’m with my in-laws who are aggies at College Station or around Houston/DFW and without fail every aggie says “Howdy” and does the stupid little thumb thing instead of saying hello and it just sucks. I usually just wave back and they look at me like I’m an idiot. From what I’ve heard this week, it sounds like Auburn is the same way and I don’t believe Lane could put up with that level of boner. Am I wrong?
