SEC Co-Players of the Week – Alabama guard Mark Sears and Florida forward/center Alex Condon were named SEC Co-Players of the Week. Sears, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior from Muscle Shoals, Ala., averaged 24.5 points, 5.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds in wins at South Carolina and at No. 10 Texas A&M. He shot 46.7 percent from the field, 50 percent from three and 86.7 percent from the free throw line. They were the ninth and 10th games this season scoring 20 points or more. Condon, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound sophomore player from Perth, Australia, averaged 12.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 blocks in wins against No. 1 Tennessee and at Arkansas. Condon is the first player in the nation this century to go for 12 points, 12 rebounds and four assists without a turnover vs. the No. 1 team. He is just the eighth player in this century to post those numbers in SEC play regardless of rankings.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Georgia forward Asa Newell, a 6-foot-11, 220-pound freshman from Destin, Fla., averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in wins over No. 6 Kentucky and No. 17 Oklahoma. On the week, shot 52.6 percent from the floor, including 33.3 percent from 3-point range, and 76.9 percent at the line.
