This is a year that there are no great teams in the league,, in some ways NIL has evened out the field a la the NFL especially in the SEC for the teams that want to pay, which is over half of them. The SEC and the Big Ten should have demanded 4 slots, I think that is their plan for a 14 team playoff. As Chase has mentioned the Sec has boxed themselves into something they didn’t think through,, going on the road is so difficult in this league almost top to bottom that it will be difficult to get 4 teams in most years and those that do will go on the road to Big 10 locations, not what Sankey wanted for sure but he advocated for it.
