Seeing Jeff Kent So Much at the CWS, I Got to Wondering....

I know he played a lot of years in the Majors, so I was curious about his stats---specifically his head-to-head stats against pitchers..

There's a web site where you can check the stats for every batter/pitcher battle...

I was especially surprised to learn the pitcher Kent had the most career ABs against was Greg Maddux.. 88 ABs against Maddux.. .330 BA.. 29 Hits.. 5 HRs, 13 RBI.. 3 BB and 15 Ks..

Of the other Braves HoFers, Kent vs. John Smoltz: 57 ABs.. .246 BA.. 14 hits.. 2 HRs.. 7 RBI.. 2 BB.. 10 Ks..

Vs. Tom Glavine: 55 ABs.. .273 BA.. 15 hits.. 2 HRs.. 9 RBI.. 4 BB.. 8 Ks..

Kent never faced Nolan Ryan...
