So the ncaa possibly opens a can of worms for future malcontents. This I presume sets a precedence as I don't recall another case like this. As i'v said prev. I want to see how his stats will match up with Jordan's but at the same time I don't want to see college football taking players on the "I was lied to" option and getting away with new issues that will arise. Hopefully ncaa won't be around much longer. Any news on the Rebel Rags lawsuit?

As soon as Shea dropped the allegation that he was lied to (a Mars induced allegation I suppose) Ole Miss dropped it’s objections. I think any time a school gives it’s release a player should be able to play immediately. Now I look forward to the day when Michigan fans see what they have, a spoiled brat with not enough between the ears to be a good QB.

I hope the ever so unbiased media picks up that part of the story or we will just be liars and Shea beat us with that.

Shea getting his eligibility is a win, win situation. Shea gets to play and Ole Miss is not continuing to get bad publicity for being the bad institution that would not approve Shea's transfer. Most likely there was some fabrication in Shea's initial request for release that was sent to the NCAA. As a result, changes were made to the documentation and Patterson's transfer was approved.

In 2018, Ta'amu most likely would start over Patterson. Now Michigan will have to deal with his prima donna attitude and his father's pushy demeanor. It will be interesting to see how Shea evolves as a QB at Michigan, especially after opposing teams rattle him enough forcing him to make mistakes. This saga is now over, but there are a few more that will happen as each of the other transfers send their transfer request to the NCAA.
