(Pictures below are discussions with a couple CRNA friends in North Carolina providing critical services to patients, as well as Venmo code. Their homes and communities have been completely devastated.)
Jason McLott is a resident of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, one of the hardest hit areas of Western North Carolina. Although Jason and his family are safe and well, Jason wants to do everything he can to help those experiencing massive losses in this tiny community. Much of the community depends on the mining of quartz (Spruce Pine produces most of the world's high-quality quartz used in electronics) and that means no work/income for much of the community after this devastation.
Please consider donating whatever you're able. Jason plans to distribute to local charities as the needs dictate. Below is his personal Venmo (GoFundMe takes too much off the top). I’ve known Jason for almost a decade and he is an incredible person and will distribute any money raised to help his community.
