What do you mean when you use the term 'single payer'?
How do we pay for it?
I'm not in favor of the federal govt controlling and operating the hospitals.
When I hear or see 'single payer' I think of Medicare and I don't like anyone paying a percentage of their income for a product or service.
To me, if you pay a percentage of your income for insurance why not for a shirt or burger?
Keep in mind that in about 20 months I'll be eligible for Medicare and probably won't have to pay a percentage of my social security but a flat amount per month then buy a supplement to fill the gaps.
