How does it go when they give a kid the bucks, then when he thinks he's NFL ready in the 3rd or 4th year and it's bowl time or NC time and they opt out of the game, WTF?

They aren't paying him to play. Whether he ever steps on the field does not matter. The money is being paid for him to promote something for them like a spokesperson.

One thing i do know is that if the numbers grow of players opting out of bowl games for draft purposes, they will diminish the hype considerably.
