If you look at his resume it’s pretty “meh” other than 1 hot year where he had a bunch of 4th and 5th year players and got to avoid the national seed Oregon state in the regional and got a 2 seed super regional opponent in UCLA.
He never won the crappy B1G in 10 years and only made it out of a regional one time.
He was “average as grits” as @tsiskey says at Maryland before being hired at Michigan.
In his first year at Clemson he earned the number 4 national seed and then crapped the bed and was eliminated in his home regional by UNC Charlotte. We know how that goes over in Oxford.
This is his 15th year as a HC and he has 1 super regional appearance and 1 CWS appearance.
