Lets imagine for a second that Ole Miss and Miss State were both horrible programs (which were both were a few years ago), and they went coach hunting. Lets also imagine that Hugh Freeze is the same coach but with no Ole Miss ties whatsoever. Ole Miss and Miss State make their hires. Miss State hires Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss hires Dan Mullen. Where would the two programs be if this were to have happened 4 years ago? Is it the coach or is it the program? Would Dan Mullen and Hugh Freeze have had the same success.
