Above is every snap Sanders took in the 2021 Fiesta Bowl v. Notre Dame. IMO this was the best video I could find on YouTube that showed you the total picture with Sanders against a very salty opponent. In this you will see the good, the bad, & ugly.
My opinion:
Sanders is an obviously talented kid. He's got plus athleticism that really allows him to move well both inside and outside of the pocket. He is a very capable runner but is definitely a pass first guy. Quick release and, while he doesn't have the strongest arm, he does have plenty of juice to make any throw you would want him to make. When his footwork is good, he's also extremely accurate as well. However, his footwork gets sloppy at times. He will stand flat footed in the pocket some and will be lazy with his lower half which causes him issues with accuracy and causes him to struggle completing what should be simple throws. He shows good decision making, anticipation, and ability to read defenses.
Sanders is absolutely not a shoe-in to be the starter if he were to come to Ole Miss but absolutely would push Dart in a competition. I believe Jaxson to be the superior talent but his ability to make the right decisions and read defenses were achilles heels for him last year. Sanders appears to be head and shoulders above him in both realms at this point in time. I can absolutely see why the staff would want to bring Sanders in.
