Spoke with a former M.State player this weekend who said he did not plan to go to the Dawgs Spring game. When I asked him why he said it was a joke. He said Mullen called Offensive plays and then called a D play that clearly could not stop the O play. He said this was to keep the fans excited and send them home bragging about the offense.
This is not a shot at state because if you watched our spring game the D line was not going very hard. Which sent a lot of people thinking the O-line had improved. Which brings me to my point. What is the point of a spring game? I would like more of a skills competition or to see one on one drills. What are yalls thoughts on this?
