I've officially hit the point where I think that cities like Portland should:
1. Deny any permits to Patriot Prayer/Proud Boys or any of the "anti-fascist" fronts for Portland Antifa. Neither of these groups is interested in any sort of discourse and neither is trying to change any minds. They both want violent escalations.
2. Respond immediately to any place they show up and arrest anyone wearing a mask or equipped with improvised 'riot gear'.
3. Go in with batons and blunt force instruments with the intent of ending the situation as quickly as possible using any amount of force necessary. These people see getting pepper sprayed as a badge of honor... let's see if they see a cracked skull the same way.
Frankly, it's time for authorities to start putting some of these people in the hospital and then prison. If a group of people espousing radical Islam started behaving in the streets of a US city the way these animals do, is there any doubt that the response from law enforcement would quickly and, likely, violently end the situation? Why are a bunch of far-left sociology students and far-right, muscle-bound rednecks treated any differently?
