How badly did we underachieve in 2009? That was the last season we went into thinking we had a legit shot at winning the West. I think that in retrospect our OL talent was not that great, especially after Rishaw Johnson was kicked off. However, we really laid eggs at South Carolina, State and Auburn when we had the better team.

The discussion on Monday podcast pointing out that some QBs don't have the "calm" factor reminded me of Jevan. He did very well when surrounded by superior talent in '08, but did not have it in him to take the team on his shoulders the next season. It wasn't like he was supposed to be a one man team; we did have McCluster and Hodge, among others.
