Super Bowl Rings.... Overkill?

I was reading about the KC Chiefs' new Super Bowl rings... Saw a picture of one... I said to myself, that thing costs more than my house... Is it possible to attain overkill status?

From an article about Travis Kelce discussing his ring:

"Speaking to his brother Jason Kelce on the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast, the two NFL brothers discussed Travis’ flashy new ring that featured 529 diamonds, 38 rubies and 14.8 carats' worth of gems."...
