Seeing a lot of “Blue Blood” topics come up recently. Have not listened to today’s podcast yet. No one asked for this but here it is. These are the top 8 schools in this chart.

Those are the “Blue Bloods.” Period.
Ohio State
Michigan
Oklahoma
Alabama
Notre Dame
Southern Cal
Nebraska
Texas

Not Florida State, Not Miami, Not Georgia or Tennessee. Definitely never Oregon with no title. You can’t “become” a blue blood. Your school either dominated its conference and football for 100 years or it didn’t.

Just like European nobility where the “blue blood” term came from. Your family either came from Charlemagne or it didn’t. For Roman Patricians your family either founded the Republic or it didn’t. No matter how wealthy you became you were just a wealthy pleb. Now if Florida State dominates the next 20 years and Nebraska sucks the next 20 hears you will have an argument. But it just like it took centuries for the Hapsburgs to become what they were it will take decades for a school to break in or unseat one of these 8 schools.

Andy Staples and anyone else saying any other school is wrong.
