is proof there is absolutely no failure by Auburn to comply with NCAA rules. On the contrary, Auburn has set an example (again) on what should be done when a rouge coach is caught cheating.
Fire the coach, suspend the players while under investigation and communicate with the NCAA.

Too bad OM didn't follow this model while dealing with their problems.

The coach was 'caught' by the FBI, not the barners. The players weren't suspended, in fact Pearl was quite clear that they would not be until they were forced to be by the start of the season.

If aubarn was proactive then they would have fired the coach years ago when this happened, instead of burying it and hoping no one caught them.

Now you've hacked off the NCAA because the FBI caught Auburn before they did, so they will swoop in and lower the boom on the barners to make it look like they still are doing their job.

This is what you get when you hire a coach with a Show Cause. Pearl has always been a cheater and now Auburn is going to pay.

Auburn basketball is toast for the net decade. Now we get to see if the coming NCAA investigation bleeds over into the softball and football programs.

This is going to be much bigger than the Ole Miss investigation. Can't say you don't deserve what's coming, either. Cheaters never win, a lesson Auburn is about to find out the hard way.

Hogwash..... AU is as clean as a whistle. Had anyone other than the rouge coach been involved they too would've been implicated by the FBI.

So Person was acting on his own and no one at auburn knew about it?

Congratulations, you just earned yourself a Failure to Monitor charge, which is even worse than getting busted paying $20,000 to two players.

Add them both together and auburn is done. All that laughing at Ole Miss is about to come back to haunt you.

How could they monitor something they knew nothing about? Are you too stupid to understand the meaning of "rogue?"

They weren't monitoring, that's why they didn't know about it. What's worse, the FBI found it. If they had been monitoring like they should have, they would have caught him, then they could have self-reported and gotten a slap on the wrist.

Now they'll get the hammer. Which is what they deserve.

I understand what it means, but don’t see how it applies to courrupt coaches unless they are cross dressers.

Lol - this is quality work.

LOL!!! Cam was investigated and found innocent. Even the MSU fans agree that Auburn didn't cheat. MSU also had a great QB in Dak. Those are two examples of how to get great players and win without cheating. Ole Miss could learn a lot from Auburn and MsSt in that regard.

Austin Wiley has been cleared to play Friday. Next will be Purfoy.

It's like I told y'all, Auburn University did nothing wrong and has clean hands in this FBI crap.

I'd love to see a link on that.

Auburn's issues in basketball run much deeper than the eligibility of a couple of players. Apparently, the FBI
has seized Perl's computers and cell phone records and Perl is refusing to cooperate with Auburn's in house investigation of the basketball program.
I can certainly understand why Perl would want to take the fifth if the FBI has his computer. In fact, he probably wishes he could drink a fifth.
It really appears Perl's days as head coach are drawing quickly to an end. Gee . . . who would ever have guessed.

Yep, the barners are toast. A cheating school hires a cheating coach, what could go wrong?
