The fact that Memphis is a somewhat relevant team proves that the state of Mississippi "has figured it out" when it comes to football. Though we are Ole Miss fans, Mullen is a good coach. Southern Miss will never be able to challenge anyone again because Coach Freeze and Coach Mullen has essentially raped their program of any talent they can muster of D1 caliber. I get Vanerbilt being an academics first school which is fine, but I don't get Tennessee. The state has a much larger population and more resources I assume.

That would be the perfect spot for Mullen. It would be a bigger town. Not Nashville, but better than Starkville. He would have a southern State all to himself. He could clean up recruitment (except for Memphis of course). Which leads me to believe this... Hell, I will go on the record and bet that if South Carolina has any sense, they would try to hire him away from Moo State. I know he just signed a contract extension, but I would rather have my family in Columbia than Starkville. That will be a better spot. I know, that he knows, that he will never out recruit Freeze, but he can out recruit Swinney.
