The train to LSU

was awesome back in the day! You could drive to Batesville, board the train, go to New Orleans, do the Quarter, catch a train to LSU stadium (they ran 2 then) where they would turn around for the trip back to N.O. after the game, then to Batesville Sunday afternoon. I doubt anyone here got to do that, but sport fans, that was what OM football was all about!

My freshman year. The train left campus from the Depot early in the morning for B.R. The game was at night and we returned afterward. We won by the way.
