I was at the game. Here are my observations;
It was not that loud at the beginning of the game. Probably about 80% full but it continued to fill up and get louder as the mistakes piled up and Florida pulled away.
Offense: Florida ran two over the top on Treadwell and had Hargreaves on the other side (over String at the beginning of the game and Core later). This essentially took 2 WR out of the offense and combine that with our inability to run the ball and you get what we just saw. Florida also was able to get pressure with just their front 4 which allowed LB to key on Engram. Geoff Collins was very prepared for this offense and knew exactly how to shut it down. Combine that with an early turnover, and a missed field goal and you get the result we saw. Was surprised we didn't see more Jordan Wilkins. Judd got a lot of time and Walton was held in check.
Defense: we finally gave up several explosive plays which is uncharacteristic of our defense. Hilton was out of position on the first TD and got burned. Robert destroyed Grier as he released the ball. Good play by the freshmen. Most frustrating thing was missed tackles and also our corners playing so far off the WR's. We gave them huge cushions and allowed them to pick up 5-7 all night. Not much of an adjustment from Vandy. Robert looked unblockable at times as well as Breeland and DJ Jones. Jones's best game by far. At times they got great penetration but linebackers didn't fill holes. Really missing DT, Sederius, and Keith Lewis.
Enjoyed my time on the campus except for the outcome and a few assholes I sat next too. The Swamp has a great atmosphere and it definitely swallowed us up tonight.
