Wow. Just wow. As a lifelong Memphian and Rebel, I have had to listened to all the local bandwagon jackasses here talk about Tiger High's football team. This made my morning. The Commercial Appeal is behind a paywall so I can't usually see the whole article. But Gary Parrish shared the link on Facebook and it wasn't behind the paywall. Here is the body of the article in case the link doesn't work.

A University of Memphis offensive lineman was extradited to Texas over the weekend for outstanding warrants on felony theft from a person and violation of probation after he was stopped for speeding in Germantown on Friday night.
Trevon Tate, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound redshirt freshman from Houston, Texas, was clocked going 89 mph eastbound on Poplar at Dogwood about 7:30 p.m., Insp. Lee Covey, head of uniform patrol for Germantown police, said today. As part of the officer's routine procedure, he ran Tate's name through the computer for outstanding warrants.
The check reflected the warrants out of Harris County, Texas (Houston). Germantown police transported Tate to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office fugitive division, which made arrangements for sending Tate to Houston.
There were no immediate details on the warrants or when they were issued.
Tate made his collegiate debut in the second half of Memphis' 63-7 season-opening win over Missouri State. He started each of the Tigers' past two games at right tackle.
"We are aware of a situation and in the process of gathering all available information," coach Justin Fuente said in a text message this morning.
