I know this is cliche to talk about, but I love this kid of talk after the season and how it changed.
I’ve watched the nba my whole life, and have watched a number of games from every era, so I feel like I can talk about this somewhat intelligently.

Top 10 players ever

  1. MJ
He’s the goat, there shouldn’t be explanation

2. Lebron

He’s solidly #2 but has no shot at catching Jordan. Forever we thought Kareem’s scoring record would never be broken, now lebron could hit a completely unrealistic number.

3. Kareem

He held the scoring record for 32 years. Has 6 rings, 6 MVPs, including 1 championship snd 3 MVPs with the bucks. he’s 3rd.

4. Bill Russell

11 championships. 5 MVPs. They say he’d be the leader on blocks of blocks were counted as a stat then.

5. Magic
5 championships, 5 MVPs, probably the best passer the game has ever seen.

6. Larry Bird

3 championships, 3 MVPs (all in a row, last player to win 3 MVPs in a row.) I still say he’s the best overall shooter ever. If you think it’s curry that’s okay too, but he’s at minimum the best shooter and passer in combination we’ve ever seen

7. Wilt chamberlain

He averaged 50 and 25 rebounds in one year. Has 23,000 career rebounds, no one’s ever touching that. Would be ranked higher if he had more than one ring.

8. Tim Duncan

5 championships, 3 arguably without another hall of famer. And in the 2003 one David Robinson only averaged 8.5

9. Shaq

From 93-02 he’s the most dominant player since wilt. 4 rings 1 mvp

10. Steph curry

4 rings, 2 MVPs, he’s the greatest 3pt shooter ever, and he just had a career year.

Top 10 current players

  1. Jokic
2 MVPs. 1 championship. He’s already a top 20 player ever imo. If you were to create a pure offensive player in a lab, you’d create him.

2. Steph curry

3. Giannis

He has the potential to be the greatest PF ever. Has to win a few more wins to crack Duncan, but his ball handling, passing and tremendous athleticism combined with his size, just allow him to do stuff that we’ve never seen before. One of the best defenders in the league, can truly guard 1-5.

4. Embiid

1 mvp (this year). Elite scorer. Has won back to back scoring titles. If he can put it all together, and stay healthy, he has potential to be one of the best centers ever. One of the best run protectors in the league.

5. KD

2 MVP. 2 champ. One of the greatest pure scorers ever. If you were to create a pure scorer in a lab, you create KD.

6. Luka

He’s a master at creating whatever shot he wants for himself and his teammates. Besides jokic, he’s the best in the league when you combine the two. If he can stop the iso ball, there is no limit to what he can accomplish. If he can’t, I don’t know if he’s a winning player. (Which I know sounds crazy.)

7. Jayson Tatum

Elite at getting to the basket and creating his own shot, in addition to being an elite force on the defensive end, one of the best two-way players in the league.

8. Kawhi

For my money, he’s the best two way player of this century

9. Jimmy Butler

Elite two-way player, does whatever it takes to win. If I did purely based off the playoffs, he’d be 3rd.

10. Devin Booker

After KD, he’s the best wing shot creator in the league, can get off and make shot he wants. He can’t get to the basket as well as the others on this list, but he’s elite from the midrange.
