Filing a lawsuit in bad faith subjects the filer to paying costs and defendants' attorneys' fees in every jurisdiction in America. A lawyer who does it can have his card pulled. When people file cases that turn out to be deficient for one reason or another the system flushes them. The whole jackpot justice thing is a chimera. As long as cases are filed in good faith, everybody pays their own lawyer and goes on about their business. It's called the American System. They do it your way in England and a handful of other countries.
