Apparently the NFL and NCAA have the same amount of TV timeouts. NCAA sometimes less. I guess it's the total length of each timeout, but man the College game feels soooooo much longer. Something needs to change because it is really brutal at the stadium....
College football TV timeouts vary in length depending on the quarter and broadcaster, but are typically between 2:00 and 3:20. The number of commercial breaks in each quarter is usually 3-4-3-4 or 4-4-4-4.
NFL TV timeouts are usually two minutes long, but can be 30 seconds if it's the second timeout in the same dead ball period or if the required number of commercial breaks for the quarter have been used.
NFL games require 16 commercial breaks, with eight in each half. Two of the breaks are mandatory, one at the end of the first or third quarter, and one at the two-minute warning for the end of the half. The remaining six breaks are optional
What I would give to see 2:00 or 0:30 on that red clock
