Greetings all RebelGrove members! I wanted to reach out and send a quick message of thanks to all who lifted me, the medical team at NMMC, and my family up in prayer during my recent medical setback. The prayers were definitely felt as God’s healing power has enabled me to sit here in my living room and write this message. I especially want to thank my good friend @braden4olemiss for posting about my condition that prompted the flood of prayers for my cause. I also want to thank @Chase Parham for updating my condition and speaking kindly of me based on our limited knowledge of one another. I have said to him what I will say to you all now, why anyone who loves Ole Miss goes anywhere else for Ole Miss sports content is beyond me, because this site is the best, and it really isn’t close.
I close this message with a warning: I will be off of my job for about 10 weeks while recuperating from my heart attack and quadruple bypass so I may post more than usual. If I start to grate on anyone, I hope you can find it in your heart to grant me some grace, as I have never faced a period of inactivity like the one I am about to experience, and that you all will take solace in the fact that I will be going back to work and serving our country until time to retire. I then still plan to return to the HSF sidelines, hopefully as an HBC for some school that can’t find anyone else crazy enough to take their job.
Again, thank you for your kindness and support! I am definitely the beneficiary of my membership here. God Bless you all! Hotty Toddy!

ETA: I strongly encourage all of you to make yourself an appointment and get the 3 heart health screenings that most medical professionals recommend to identify potential issues early. If you live in North Mississippi, NMMC is offering anyone who makes the appointment before the end of February, no matter when the appointment is, it is half price ($50). That is a small price to pay for you and your family to be proactive in the fight against heart disease. That is all.
