I listened to JD Vance interview with Ben Shapiro. I am not an expert in these things by any means, but I do subscribe to more free market + less gov intervention. Vance seems to take a "more gov involvement" approach. He's well spoken, likeable in the interview, and even slightly convincing.
Does this sort of policy align in any way with modern conservatism, or is this a shift? Linked the interview and a couple people who seem to think its a shift.
