Slow weekend with wife and kids out of town at camp. Watched the Ole miss Bama game again and I am convinced of two things.
1) Verne may be old and stumbles around a little, but he is very entertaining and witty and I love listening to him and GD....especially when it seems he if pulling for us.
2)Verne was clearly choked up at the end of the game post game celebration as he was trying to describe the last time Ole Miss was 5-0 (1962). I assume that either that year is very personal to Verne or he is good friends of someone at Ole Miss.
Does anyone have an idea why he would get choked up? It was touching.
