I'd tell Nix that he is going to handle most of the positional coaching for himself and the unknown future coach, and only target specific recruits that he has ins or fits with. Then I would go out and hire the most connected man on the planet to memphis football recruits and I don't care if it is a preacher, a 7on7 coach, or a high school coach.
