Sadly, I probably can't even ask this question without the thread eventually turning into a bunch of hateful rants... but, wtf...
I'm 40 years old and never in my life to I remember the political landscape on both sides being so outright hateful. We've gotten to a point where people can't just disagree... they have to label anyone who disagrees with them in hateful terms like racist, libtard, etc.
I don't think it's because of Trump, by the way... I think Trump is a product of it. Trump would have never won a single primary 8 years ago with the type of rhetoric he uses in 2016 because the level of hate just wasn't anywhere close.
I've found myself coming to the conclusion that if someone calls someone they have a political disagreement with "evil" or a "pos" that the real "pos" is the person who can't recognize that not sharing the same political beliefs doesn't make someone evil or a "pos".
