I think we can all admit that the Tad Smith Arena has been a hindrance to recruiting high school blue chip prospects. However, I don't believe for one second that a new arena immediately and definitively addresses the recruiting problems that Ole Miss basketball has experienced. Ky Madden, Johnny O'Bryant, and it appears now Malik Newman were all recruited as hard as possible by Ole Miss only to lose out in the end.
I don't know how much success can be sustained finding the next Marshall Henderson or Moody on the transfer market every year.
So, what does AK do from here? Does Ole Miss take on the challenge of changing the way they recruit the blue chip elite players, or do they look at the Mid-major programs and find ways to manufacture wins with sub elite talent?
