He swore an oath to protect the US from foreign intervention and he avoids dealing with Russia.
I can only see 2 potential reasons that make sense:
1. He has been compromised by the Russians. There is pretty good circumstantial evidence here. they wanted him elected and worked hard to accomplish that. Trump stated he wanted them to meddle. He has had years of business dealing with them. The saved him from bankruptcy at one point. Trump has lied repeatedly about meetings between his associates and Russia. Members of his campaign and white house have lied about contact with Russians. He has obstructed justice to keep the investigation down.
2. Trump is either too week or inept. Maybe it is an ego thing and STILL does not want to admit that his campaign was helped by Russia. If that is the case he is dangerously incompetent. If he cannot perform the sword duties of the presidency, he needs to go.

Put the investigation aside and explain the reasoning behind Trumps lack of action on a foreign power spending millions of dollars to alter out democratic process. And no, I don't consider myself a liberal, just a conservative that the Republican party has deserted.
