For eats, Ajax's just off the square-great pork chops, fried chicken, hamburgers, home style traditional food highly recommended. Across the square opposite of Ajax's is the Beacon. Been there for years. Inexpensive, and home style. Handy Andy's not too far away-terrific BBQ! Rustic, reasonable, and you'll be stuffed after leaving. Across the street from there is a night club-don't remember name. Google it-it's worth your time. It was rocking last time I was there. Off Lamar and Price St. And Proud Larry's. Bar and grill type atmosphere, and maybe a band will be performing. A little over priced, but you will be entertained. Off the Square. These places come to mind, but there are many others. Listen for bands when you're on the Square-like a small New Orleans.
