OXFORD, Miss. – Coming off a historic season that saw the Rebels win Ole Miss' first team national championship in nearly 60 years, the women's golf team unveiled their upcoming 2021-22 schedule, head coach Kory Henkes announced Wednesday.
Ole Miss will begin the season at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate (Sept. 13-15) in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. The Rebels will then head to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to compete in the Blessings Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 4-6). The Blessings will be the first of three fall tournaments for the Rebels to be broadcast live on Golf Channel.
The Rebels will make an appearance in the inaugural Jackson T. Stephens Cup (Oct. 18-20), at the prestigious Alotian Club in Roland, Arkansas. The Stephens Cup will feature seven of the top NCAA Division I men's and women's teams in the country, with an eighth team in each group competing at the invitation of the host club. All three rounds of the Stephens Cup will be televised by Golf Channel.
Another highlight of the fall will be the Rebels traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, to defend their team title at the East Lake Cup (Oct. 25-27). The prestigious tourney features the three other 2021 NCAA women's semifinalists (Oklahoma State, Duke and Arizona) and will be broadcast live on Golf Channel.
Ole Miss begins the spring slate by heading to Gold Canyon, Arizona, for the Superstition Match in the Desert (Jan. 23-24) at Superstition Mountain Golf Club.
A trip out west awaits the Rebels mid-February as the reigning champs head to the Lamkin Invitational (Feb. 14-15) in Rancho Santa Fe, California. A week later, Ole Miss will make the trip to Humble, Texas, for the ICON Invitational (Feb. 21-22) at the Golf Club of Houston.
The Rebels kick off a busy March when they travel to the Gators Invitational (March 5-6) in Gainesville, Florida. They then head to Augusta, Georgia, for the Valspar Augusta Invitational (March 12-13) and stay in the Peach State for the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (March 25-27) in Athens.
The final tune-up before the SEC Championship comes when the Rebels travel to Auburn, Alabama, for the Auburn Individual (April 4-5) at Saugahatchee Golf Club.
Ole Miss will get postseason play underway at the SEC Championship (April 13-17) at Greystone Golf Club in Birmingham, Alabama.
