I have recently posted on the troubles our University have created for themselves but I am much more worried about a recent development in my own home. I have twin 13 year old boys that begin playing 8th grade football next week and they are not near as fired up or prepared as they were last year. They both have steady girlfriends now and have had the same ones for about 9 months. I am convinced the girlfriend factor has taken away some of their excitement and preparation for school athletics. I am also convinced that 13 is too young to have a steady girlfriend, both of which are a year older than the twins. Any advice on how to curb this problem without me winding up looking and being the A-Hole father would be much appreciated.
I could go the route my father did but that wound up being really tough on both of us.
