Really excited to be 8-1 after being 3-1. Five straight in really exciting, competitive, test-your-will games. Always exciting to win them. Saturday felt better than the score. Out-played them in the first half and then one giant play goes the other way.

They moved the ball really well in the second half and, like the LSU game, all of a sudden we were down. Drive was critical, season-defining drive. Six of seven plays were runs, which is abnormal. Proud of that. Big play from Dart to Judkins on the option play. Really big third-down conversion. Them using a timeout helped in the end.

Pleased by offense ability to move the ball and neutralize their front. Nobody had done that against them offensively in a long time.

OL playing more consistent and with more confidence and more physical. Confidence is fragile, no matter how good you are, and it can come back. Against Alabama, lost confidence on OL. Against LSU, it came back. Proud of how OL handled chippy plays.

Was asked about identifying Tre Harris. Really liked him, then really liked him on visit. Thought he was a really good player with big upside. Meeting him in person was very impressive. Fortunate to have a run of those guys at that spot with Elijah Moore being off the charts and then Jonathan Mingo. Really cool to have guys like that. Now they have a couple of receivers like that.

Declined comment on Prieskorn holding call. Mentioned to officiating crew before the game that they had called a lot of holds on Ole Miss. Said he didn’t help himself. Was upset with lack of calls on hits on Dart. Officials’ job is to protect the quarterback. Was upset during the game when Dart got hit with right and left hand. Really critical job to not miss.

Asked about hit on LSU’s Jayden Daniels. “Blown away that was not targeting, from the second that I saw it.” Don’t understand how that was not reviewed. Really focused on protecting quarterback.

Kiffin said Ole Miss isn’t good enough to look past Texas A&M, especially after everything Aggies said during the week.

Just got out of meeting with staff about official visitors.

Took Texas A&M’s comments on social media as disrespectful. Credit to Aggies, as game was headed to blowout. Aggies had some toughness that took momentum back their way. Kiffin said Texas A&M is really close to a breakthrough.
