I know it’s extremely early but there are 6 sec teams in top 7 and sec seems to be clearly top heavy. You could paint a scenario where those top 6 all finish 11-1:
Georgia loses to bama
Texas loses to georgia
Bama loses to tenn
Ole miss loses to georgia
Mizzou loses to bama
Tenn loses to georgia
I don’t even think it’s that crazy of a scenario but the notion that 10-2 is automatic playoff birth, I think may be short sided. And whoever goes to sec ship is almost at a disadvantage in this scenario cause the loser would be only one with 2 losses
